Croatia adopted the euro (EUR). UK visitors to Dubrovnik, Split and the islands now follow the same patterns as Spain or Italy: cards widely accepted, cash still king for konobas, small boat taxis and some national park entrances.
Island hopping
Ferries and island services can be cash-heavy in peak season. Land with euros already bought in the UK rather than hoping for perfect ATM placement at every stop.
Kuna nostalgia
You may still hear locals reference old kuna prices mentally; all new pricing should be in euros. Always confirm totals on card terminals.
Plan ahead
Compare rates with our holiday money comparison and read the dedicated euro page. Holiday extras like airport parking are cheaper prebooked alongside your currency plan.
